POST MEET QUOTES
Head Coach Bubba Thornton
On his feelings with the meet: We had talked after the indoor nationals and all we have done since then is strength and conditioning. We only did the short hurdles one day. We caught the perfect day. (Keiron Stewart) is nice and relaxed. We talked about the last four or five hurdles, what he had to do there, because the wind, once you get moving like that you start getting close to them. You have to stay in between them. He did a really good job of that. Had he run through he probably would have run 13.35 or 36. It was a legal run.
I was pleased with (Trevante) Rhodes today. He finally made a breakthrough from all of the things he's gone through. Danzell Fortson had a great race. He caught a spasm. He doesn't have anything going on that we can't handle by the relays. Then you start to look at the overall team, every event we were pretty solid in. This is where we wanted to start. Let's see where we can take it and where we can finish it off. We've got the guys. We've got them believing. We've set the bar pretty high. Let's see where we can finish.
