Enter the Forty Acres Fastball Challenge at Softball vs. Missouri on April 5

Participate in UT Athletics' Forty Acres Fastball Challenge on Thursday, April 5 at 7 p.m. following the Texas Softball vs. Missouri game at McCombs Field.
The first 50 UT students to register by emailing SOBs@athletics.utexas.edu may participate in the competition. Be sure to include your name, UT EID, email address and gender.
All participants in the challenge receive a coupon for a free small Frosty, courtesy of Wendy's. The top five male and top five female students who throw the fastest pitches win a prize courtesy of UT Athletics. The grand prize winners in each competition receive a $50 Nike gift card. The game is a Varsity Rewards event. You can also earn a premium point if you participate in the Forty Acres Fastball Challenge. You receive one point when you check in at the game, and another point when you check in to compete in the Forty Acres Fastball Challenge. You only receive the second point if you participate in the competition.
Don't forget to join the Texas Athletics Council's pregame tailgate starting at 6:15 p.m.
Remember, all LASP holders receive free admission to 2012 Texas Softball regular season home games. Don't forget to bring your UT ID to request a ticket at the McCombs Field box office on gameday.
Forty Acres Fastball Challenge Rules
- There are separate competitions for female and male students.
- Throw a softball style pitch from the pitcher's circle.
- You get two two pitches and the fastest pitch counts.
- If two pitches are tied for fastest pitch, you will get an additional chance to throw a pitch until the tie is broken.
Prizes
- The grand prize winner in each competition receives a $50 Nike gift card.
- The top five finishers in each competition receive a prize.
- All participants receive a coupon for a free small Frosty, courtesy of Wendy's.
