The award comes after he was named California Collegiate League MVP earlier this summer.
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa—Texas Baseball infielder Bret Boswell has been named the 2016 Perfect Game/Rawlings Summer Collegiate Player of the Year. Boswell, who posted a .392 average this summer with the Santa Barbara Foresters of the California Collegiate League, was named CCL MVP and later led the National Baseball Congress World Series with six RBI in three games.
