The Brentwood, Tenn. native was named the Most Valuable Player of the USA Junior Olympic Team.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Volleyball will add Logan Eggleston to the class of 2018, the program announced on Monday.
Eggleston will join the Longhorns after graduating a year early to attend UT.
"I'm really excited to bring in this caliber of a player and continue the tradition we have here at Texas," Head Coach Jerritt Elliott said. "Logan is going to be a very well-rounded volleyball player in our program."
Eggleston, the 2016 Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year, was a member of the 2016 and 2017 USAV Youth National Team and a member of the 2018 USAV Junior National Team with Alliance Volleyball Club.
She was named the Most Valuable Player of the 2017 USA Volleyball Championships National Division, was the 2016 Tennessean Volleyball Player of the Year and is a nominee for the award in 2017.
She is a two-time PrepVolleyball All-American (2016 and 2017), a two-time USA Today All-American (2016 and 2017), and a 2017 MaxPreps Junior All-American.
"Logan comes in with a lot of experience with her time with USA Volleyball," Elliott said. "She was just named MVP of the Junior Olympics, so she is more than capable of coming in and competing. We are excited for her addition. She is a wonderful young lady—full of energy, has a great skill set, and will mesh into our program very well."
At Brentwood High School, Eggleston was the 2016 and 2017 State Tournament Most Valuable Player, leading the team to the State Championship in 2015, 2016, and 2017. She was named 2017 Wilco (Williamson County Schools Sports Awards) Volleyball Player of the Year and Wilco Female Athlete of the Year, and is a three-time All-County Team member and an All-District Team member.
Eggleston will join Jhenna Gabriel, Sydney Petersen and Asjia O'Neal to compete in fall of 2018.
