Volunteer Assistant Coach Ken Jurkowski

Ken Jurkowski is entering his second year as a volunteer coach with the Longhorns rowing program. A 2003 biological engineering graduate from Cornell University, Coach Jurkowski began his association with the team in 2005.
Jurkowski is currently in training for singles competition at the 2006 World Championships in Eaton, England. As a member of the 2005 U.S. Rowing Team he helped the U.S. squad to a ninth-place finish at the World Championships in Gifu, Japan.
At the second 2005 National Selection Regatta, Jurkowski's boat placed third in the double sculls and finished in sixth-place in single competition.
At the 2004 Olympic Trials, Jurkowski's double scull boat finished second, and he finished third in single sculls.
