AUSTIN, Texas -- No. 5 Texas collected 11 victories and 15 NCAA regional-qualifying marks Saturday in a productive Texas Twilight meet at UT's Mike A. Myers Stadium.
Texas' 4x100-meter relay quartet of seniors Quincy Boles (Harker Heights, Texas) and Trey Hardee (Birmingham, Ala.), freshman Jamaal Charles and senior Trey Griffin (Lockhart, Texas) turned in the performance of the day, clocking 39.30 for first place and the nation's second-fastest collegiate time this season. Hardee was making his first appearance in the relay this season.
Senior Brian Robison (Splendora, Texas), the reigning Big 12 shot put champion, continued his dominance in the event, winning with a heave of 61-10.25 to tally a NCAA regional mark. He would later top his personal best in the discus by over three feet with a regional-qualifying mark of 193-6.
