One of 10 players, including transfer Maurice Evans, selected to play for a collegiate all-star team (One World Select, coached by Texas assistant Rob Lanier) in a tour of Greece this summer (June 11-20) ... averaged 8.8 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while hitting 15-of-28 (.536) field goals for his team which won the Nea Moudania Tournament.

Full name is Nnadubem Gabriel Enyinaya Muoneke. Nnadubem means "God guide me," Gabriel was Muoneke's grandfather's name, Enyinaya means "father's friend" and Muoneke means "spirit that creates" ... son of Nik (father) and Njideka (mother) Muoneke ... is the second of five children ... born on February 7, 1978 in Ann Arbor, Michigan while his father was completing a degree at the University of Michigan ... moved to Texas with his family at age three ... Nik, who came to the United States to study at age 28, is currently a professor of mathematics at Prairie View ... Gabe's mother, Njideka, is a medical technologist ... spent two months in the summer prior to his sophomore season visiting relatives in Nigeria ... enjoys drawing in his spare time ... majoring in petroleum engineering ... spent portions of his first two summers in college working for Baker-Hughes Intech in Houston as a mud-motor mechanic.
