San Jacinto Junior College, Pasadena, Texas (head coach Scott Gernander) ... holds school records for three-pointers made in a season (112 as a freshman) and in a game (nine vs. Trinity Valley as a freshman) ... finished with a school-record 205 three-pointers made in his two-year career ... was a two-time second team all-conference selection ... averaged 14.3 points, 2.9 assists and 1.6 steals per game while leading San Jac to a 26-4 mark ... connected on 34.8% of his three-point attempts and 85.4% of his free throws ... averaged 15.9 ppg during his freshman year, while helping his team post a 36-1 record and advance to the NJCAA national championship game ... four of his teammates at San Jac went on to earn Division I scholarships.

Bryan High School, Bryan, Texas (head coach Tim Martin) ... averaged 22.2 points per game for a 26-8 Bryan team that advanced to the third round of the class 5A playoffs in his senior season ... finished fourth among greater Houston area 5A players in scoring behind current Longhorn teammate Nnadubem Muoneke (24.7 ppg.) and Texas A&M junior Jerald Brown (23.9 ppg.) ... shot 42.8% from behind the three-point arc (146-of-341) as a senior ... his 146 threes (4.3 per game) set a school record ... named third team all-state by the Texas Sports Writers Association ... shot 73.4% (94-of-128) from the free throw line in his final season ... named honorable mention all-Greater Houston by the Houston Chronicle ... named district 15-5A co-Most Valuable Player ... put up big numbers as a senior despite the fact that he only played approximately 20 minutes per game until midway through district play, when the team's 10-man rotation was altered ... hit 97 three-pointers as a junior ... finished his career with 341 three-point field goals in three seasons on the varsity ... won an award from the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for community service work in the Bryan area during his senior year.
