Davison, Larsson advance at ITA Southwest Regional Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas sophomore Stephanie Davison and freshman Caroline Larsson scored an opening-round doubles victory to kick off the ITA Southwest Regional Championship Friday at Texas Tech's McLeod Tennis Center.
Davison (Port Orchard, Wash.) and Larsson (Sodertalje, Sweden) opened the event with an 8-2 round-of-64 victory over Texas-San Antonio's Monika Drabkova and Holly Phillips.
The duo advances to Saturday's round of 32 where they will meet an opponent to be determined.
