Tristan Thompson selected to participate in McDonald's All-American Game

AUSTIN, Texas -- Tristan Thompson is one of 24 players selected to participate in the 33rd Annual McDonald's All-American Game, it was announced Thursday. Thompson will compete for the West squad in the game, which is set for Wednesday, March 31 in the Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio. Tip for the contest is slated for 7 p.m. Central, and the game will be televised nationally by ESPN.
A 6-9 forward from Findlay College Prep (Henderson, Nev.) who plays under coach Michael Peck, Thompson is originally from Brampton, Ontario.
Thompson will become the 12th player in University of Texas history to compete in the prestigious All-Star game. Proceeds from the McDonald's All-American Game go to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
