All renovations at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium were completed for the 2009 football season, pushing capacity to over 100,000 fans sporting burnt orange. As a direct result of the expansion, the stadium's premium seating opportunities have increased to include thousands of club seats and over one hundred suites.
Due to the growth of amenity-based premium seating areas, available inventory now exists in the Texas (East) Club. Yardline, chair back seats (between the 20s) are located outdoors in sections 27, 28, 29, and 30, rows 58-73. The Texas Club is indoors, climate controlled, with buffet style food, and offers a full bar. There are also tables, chairs, and TVs set up throughout the room so while fans are enjoying the indoor amenities they don't miss out on any of the action out on the field! In addition, on gamedays, all Texas Club donors park across the street in the Manor Garage.
To be eligible to receive Texas Club seats, you must make a per seat donation between $3,000 and $5,000 to The Longhorn Foundation and purchase football season tickets no later than May 28, 2010. Football season ticket applications will be available from the ticket office beginning the first week of May. The per seat season ticket cost for the Texas Club is $575, which includes the regular season ticket cost of $400, plus a food surcharge of $25 per game.
The 2009 Texas Football season was one to remember as the Longhorns appeared in the Citi BCS National Championship game for the second time in just five seasons. In addition to a great year on the field, an unprecedented number of Longhorn fans made their way to DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium as Texas ranked in the top five in national attendance for the first time in program history. Coach Brown and his staff have built an amazing program with nine consecutive ten-win seasons, so it has never been a better time to become a part of the Longhorns family.
