For the 2010 Texas Football home season, Texas Athletics will provide UT fans with gameday transportation alternatives. UT has partnered with Transportation Management Services (TMS) and will offer a shuttle service to and from home football games on the Longhorns Express.
The cost to ride the Longhorns Express is $9 per person. Children 12 and under can ride free.
TMS is an international transportation conglomerate and has operated over 900 events worldwide and moved over 33 million passengers. Recently, TMS was responsible for operating shuttle systems for the 2010 NBA All-Star Game in Dallas and the Houston Rodeo.
Longhorns Express will pick up fans at two locations:
Barton Creek Mall (2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy.)
The Barton Creek Mall route drops off and picks up at the corner of University Ave. and 21st St.
Intramural Fields (51st St. and Guadalupe)
The Intramural Fields route drops off and picks up at the corner of Dean Keeton and San Jacinto.
Both shuttles begin service 2-1/2 hours prior to kickoff. Transportation to DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium stops after kickoff. Shuttles begin returning passengers to the remote lots at the end of the third quarter. The last shuttle departs the stadium two hours after the game ends.
