- Texas improves to 3-2 in its series with UCLA
- Texas now has held 219 of its 452 opponents to under 40% field-goal shooting in the Rick Barnes era. UT sports a 200-19 (.913) mark in the Barnes era when accomplishing the feat.
- UCLA opened the first half 6 of 6 from the field, but UT held the Bruins to 8 of 25 shooting (32%) the rest of the first half
- Texas held UCLA without a field goal for a seven-minute span (18:28-11:10) in the second half
