Help feed the hungry this Sunday at Soccer's match vs. Iowa State

Sept. 21, 2011
Not only are Texas Longhorns fans passionate and respectful, they are generous. Over the past five years at UT Athletics events, loyal UT fans have donated more than 12,000 lbs. of food to the Central Texas community. UT Athletics is asking for its fans to step up once again.
UT Athletics and Whataburger have teamed up to give fans the opportunity to fight hunger by donating non-perishable food items at the Texas Soccer vs. Iowa State match on Sunday, Sept. 25 at 1 p.m. (presented by H-E-B). Donations are accepted on gameday beginning at noon at Mike A. Myers Stadium and benefit those affected by the Central Texas wildfires.
Fans who donate five non-perishable food items receive a Texas Polo (adult sizes only; quantities, sizes and colors subject to availability) and a coupon for a FREE Whataburger. Collection takes place at the UT Athletics table located near the Gate 4 entrance (northwest corner of Myers Stadium). Fans must purchase a ticket to the match in order to receive the shirt and the coupon (offer based on availability). Purchase tickets online at TexasBoxOffice.com or by calling the UT Athletics Ticket Office at (512) 471-3333.
UT Athletics canned food drives are part of the Horns for Hope initiative for community enrichment.
UT Athletics would also like to thank H-E-B for generously matching donations from this event.
