In anticipation of No. 9 Texas Football's first meeting with No. 7 West Virginia as Big 12 members, we want to see you back at the Stadium Stampede!
When you hear Smokey the Cannon fire at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, head to the corner of 23rd St. and Robert Dedman Dr. (northeast corner of the stadium) to greet Texas Football, Texas Cheer and Pom, and the Longhorn Band. Fans will line 23rd St. to the Tom & Cinda Hicks North Gate in anticipation of the Longhorns' arrival at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The players and coaches will unload from their buses and walk down the street as fans cheer them on. The Stadium Stampede concludes when Texas Football enters the stadium through the North Gate. Before and after the Stadium Stampede, enjoy the best student tailgating spot on campus at The Tent. Located on the lawn next to the LBJ Fountain, this area allows UT students to tailgate prior to the game and gives you a front-row view for the Stadium Stampede. Bring your favorite tailgating foods, drinks, games and friends out to The Tent all season long.
Coach Mack Brown and Texas Football can't wait to see fans at the Stadium Stampede before this Big 12 showdown! Be in your seats before kickoff at 6 p.m. and don't forget -- come early, be loud, stay late, and wear orange!
