- 24 Straight: After its 24th consecutive victory against Texas State, Texas now leads the all-time series with the Bobcats, 42-5 (.894). It is the longest current winning streak in a UT series. The last time the Bobcats defeated the Longhons was Dec. 7, 1937. Texas' .894 series winning percentage against Texas State is the all-time highest against current NCAA Division I UT opponents. Coach Rick Barnes has an all-time record of 10-0 against the Bobcats.
- Barnes' 550th win: Coach Rick Barnes earned his 550th career win on Saturday. In his 26th season as a head coach, Barnes has compiled a 550-275 (.667) career record at George Mason, Providence, Clemson and Texas.
- Lone Star State Success: Texas has posted a 123-17 (.877) record against in-state foes during the Barnes era.
