LONDON -- Former University of Texas standout Kevin Durant recorded 14 points to help Team USA to a 119-86 victory against Australia in the quarterfinal round at the 2012 Olympics on Wednesday evening. Durant converted 5-of-13 field goals, including 4-of-9 from three-point range, while adding five rebounds, one assist and two steals in 25 minutes.
The United States (6-0) will face Argentina in the semifinals at 3 p.m. Central on Friday, Aug. 10. The game will be televised live by NBC Sports Network.
Should Team USA defeat Argentina, the Americans would face the winner of the Russia-Spain semifinal contest in the gold medal game on Sunday, Aug. 12.
