- Series: Texas now leads the all-time series with Texas Tech, 77-53, including a 32-4 mark in the Big 12 era. The Longhorns have won 16 of the last 17 games against the Red Raiders, including nine straight.
- Success vs. Tech at home: Texas has now won 17 consecutive games against Tech at the Erwin Center. Under Rick Barnes, UT is 15-0 against Tech.
- Starters: Javan Felix, Julien Lewis, Sheldon McClellan, Ioannis Papapetrou and Cameron Ridley started on Saturday. It is the first time this lineup has been used and the eighth different lineup for the team. Felix is the only player to start all 19 games this season. Lewis has started in 16 consecutive games. Jonathan Holmes did not start for the first time of the season (out with a broken bone in his right hand).
- Offensive shooting percentage: The Longhorns shot .463 (25-of-54), their best field-goal shooting percentage in conference play this season ... previous season-high in conference play was .446 vs. Kansas (1/19) and West Virginia (1/9).
- Turnovers: Texas committed a season-low 10 turnovers. UT's previous low was 11 against UCLA (12/8) and Iowa State (1/12). The Horns also forced 19 TTU turnovers and scored 22 points off turnovers.
- Julien Lewis led the team in scoring for the fifth time this season with 18 points on 5-of-12 shooting ... recorded double-figure points for the 12th time this season.
- Cameron Ridley recorded double-figure rebounds (10) for the third time this season in 21 minutes ... added six points (3-6 FG) and three blocks.
- Demarcus Holland set a season highs in points (11), FG made (5), and tied his season-high minutes played (26) ... his previous high of seven points occurred twice (Coppin State, Texas State).
- Ioannis Papapetrou has made a 3-point FG in four consecutive games, going 2-of-3 from behind the arc on Saturday ... recorded double-figure points (15) for the seventh time this season, including three of the last four games ... tied a career high in FT made (5).
- Connor Lammert played against his brother (Clark Lammert) for the first time. Connor finished with five points on 2-of-6 shooting in 18 minutes. Clark played four minutes with four rebounds.
