Longhorns compete on Austin’s Lady Bird Lake and Lake Carnegie in New Jersey.
WHAT: Texas competes in a pair of regattas this weekend. The Longhorns will compete locally in the Head of the Colorado on Saturday and at the Princeton Chase on Sunday in New Jersey.

MORE ON THE HEAD OF THE COLORADO: The Head of the Colorado, also known as the PumpkinHead Regatta, is a five-kilometer head race typically held on the final Saturday of October. The marks the 29th annual Head of the Colorado hosted by Austin Rowing Club.
LAST YEAR AT THE HEAD OF THE COLORADO: The Longhorns won three of the five divisions in which they competed at the 2012 Head of the Colorado. UT was victorious in the open 8+, second novice 8+ and the open 4+.
