- Series: UT now holds a 45-37 lead in the all-time series against Oklahoma State. The Cowboys snapped an eight-game losing streak in the Erwin Center. Texas is now 16-3 against OSU at home since 1977. Texas will face OSU in Stillwater, Okla., on March 2 (ESPN).
- Starters: Javan Felix, Julien Lewis, Sheldon McClellan, Ioannis Papapetrou and Prince Ibeh started on Saturday. It is the first time this starting lineup has been used -- the ninth different lineup in 23 games for UT. Felix is the only player to start all 23 games this season. Lewis has started in 20 consecutive games.
- Home success: Since Rick Barnes arrived in Austin, UT has recorded a 206-28 (.881) mark at the Erwin Center, including a 96-20 (.831) record in Big 12 Conference home games.
- Against ranked opponents: UT now owns a 30-16 (.652) record against AP Top 25 opponents under Rick Barnes at the Erwin Center. No. 22 Oklahoma State is the third ranked team UT has faced at the Erwin Center this season, with Texas sporting a 1-2 mark in those games.
- Forced turnovers: Texas forced 17 turnovers, which is the second-most in Big 12 play and most since forcing 19 in a 73-57 win over Texas Tech on Jan. 26.
- FG% defense: Texas held Oklahoma State to 37.5 percent shooting (21-56 FG), including 25.0percent from beyond the arc (4-16 3FG). UT has held 15-of-22 opponents to under 40.0 percent FG shooting this season. The Longhorns are now 215-26 in the Barnes era when holding opponents to under 40 percent field goal shooting.
- Demarcus Holland set career highs in points (13), minutes (35), FG attempts (11) ... shot 5-of-11 from the field and 3-for-3 at the free throw line.
- Ioannis Papapetrou set career highs in steals (three) and minutes (37) ... scored in double figures (15) for the sixth time in the last eight games ... has 10 games with double-figure points this season...led the team in scoring for the first time in his career.
- Prince Ibeh started in his first career Big 12 game (fourth overall) ... made his first start since UT Arlington on Dec. 1 ... grabbed six rebounds in nine minutes with four personal fouls.
- Jaylen Bond scored eight points, his second-highest output in 12 games this season (12 on Jan. 30 at Kansas State).
- Myck Kabongo's 23-game suspension, according to the appeal decision on Dec. 21 by the NCAA Division I Committee on Student-Athlete Reinstatement, is now fulfilled. Kabongo is eligible to play his first game of the season against Iowa State on Wednesday in Austin (Big 12 Network).
