On Saturday, April 6, Volleyball will celebrate its 2012 national championship with fans during an exhibition match against NCAA Regional Semifinalist Wichita State (presented by Dunkin' Donuts). The match begins at noon, and admission is FREE for all students.
Beginning at 11:15 a.m. there will be FREE pizza for UT students on the Gregory Gym Plaza. Fans may also take photos with head coach Jerritt Elliott and the national championship trophy until 11:45 a.m. Prior to the match, the 30-minute Longhorn Network documentary 'Point Texas: 2012 National Champions' will be shown on the video board. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive limited edition posters featuring a photo of the 2012 team in front of the UT Tower.
After the match, join Texas Volleyball for a commemorative ceremony on the court as coaches, players, and special guests reminisce on their run to the championship. The celebration will culminate with the unveiling of the 2012 national championship banner in the rafters of Gregory Gym.
For Varsity Rewards, UT students may sign in for 1 point before the match and an additional point after the championship banner is unveiled.
Following the ceremony, fans may get autographs with the entire Texas Volleyball team.
