- Series: Texas leads the all-time series with Baylor, 158-82, including a 27-7 mark during the Rick Barnes era.
- Starters: Myck Kabongo, Demarcus Holland, Ioannis Papapetrou, Jonathan Holmes and Connor Lammert started on Saturday. It is the seventh consecutive game this starting lineup has been used (4-3 record). This lineup is now the most-used starting lineup this season.
- At Home: The Longhorns finished the 2012-13 home season with a 12-4 record at the Frank Erwin Center. Texas has recorded 10 or more wins at the Erwin Center for 14 consecutive seasons. Since the 2002-03 season, UT has a 162-19 record at home. Texas' all-time record in the Erwin Center is now 434-102.
- Turnover season low: Texas recorded a season low in turnovers (eight). It is the fewest since recording eight in a 71-65 win over Iowa State in the first round of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship on March 8, 2013. UT's two turnovers in the second half tie a season-low for turnovers in a half (first half vs. UCLA on Dec. 8).
- Lone Star State success: Texas has posted a 128-18 (.876) record against in-state foes during the Rick Barnes era, including a 27-7 mark against Baylor.
- Big Monday at home: The Horns now hold a 16-6 record in Big Monday home contests, including a 2-1 mark against Baylor. Monday's game against Baylor was the third time Texas was televised on ESPN's Big Monday this season.
- Sheldon McClellan led Texas is scoring (23 points) for the 14th time this season and the first time in six games ... scored his first 10 points of the night in just three minutes and 20 seconds, during a 12-5 Texas run in the first half ... recorded his fifth 20-point game of the season and seventh of his career ... reached double figures in scoring for the 24th time this season and 44th time of his career (64 games).
- Ioannis Papapetrou set season highs in points (18), blocks (three) and field goals made (seven) ... reached double figures in points for the 13th time this season.
- Myck Kabongo finished with 19 points, eight assists and six rebounds ... his 8 assists and one turnover ties a career-best for an assist-to-turnover margin in a game (+7, vs. Nicholls State on Dec. 13, 2011) ... reached double figures in scoring for the sixth time this season (seven games) and 24th time of his career (25 games).
- Cameron Ridley set a season high in free throws attempted (4-10 FT) ... finished with eight points and five rebounds in 19 minutes played.
- Senior Night: Monday's game marked the final home collegiate contest for a pair of fourth-year seniors: Andrew Dick and Dean Melchionni. During the last four seasons, the Horns sport an 85-48 record, including a 57-11 mark in games played at the Erwin Center. Other seniors in the program include student athletic trainer Motoki Fujii and student managers Stephen Bourne, Clay Mello and Vincent Hu.
- Senior Andrew Dick played in 19 career games during his four seasons at Texas before he was sidelined in early February with a left knee injury. A six-time Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection and an Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree this year, he is on pace to earn his bachelor's degree in Finance this May.
- Senior Dean Melchionni has played in 15 career games during his four seasons at Texas. A six-time Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll selection, he is on pace to earn his bachelor's degree in Corporate Communication this May.
