Naumann picks up quality win at Florida Invitational

Junior Nick Naumann notches win over a ranked opponent on Saturday.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Junior Nick Naumann picked up a quality win for the Texas men's tennis team on Saturday at the Florida Invitational.
The 113th-ranked Naumann won his second consecutive match by defeating Florida's 70th-ranked Gordon Watson, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1. It is Naumann's fifth career win over a ranked opponent and first since Feb. 14.
Senior No. 106 Adrien Berkowicz notched his 10th win of the fall with a straight-set win over Florida's Chase Perez-Blanco, 6-3, 7-6 (6-4). The Longhorns combined for a 2-3 singles record on Saturday.
Berkowicz and sophomore George Goldhoff picked up the Longhorns' lone win in five doubles matches on Saturday, defeating Miami's Nile Clark and Henrique Tsukamoto, 8-1.
The final day of the Florida Invitational on Sunday will feature two rounds of singles action, followed by one round of doubles action.
