Five Longhorns advance to synchro finals at USA Diving Winter Nationals

Texas qualifies five divers, including current Longhorns Emma Ivory-Ganja, Meghan Houston and Cory Bowersox, for the three-meter synchro finals.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Five current and former Texas divers advanced to their respective synchronized diving finals Friday on day four of the USA Diving Winter National Championships.
UT All-America senior Emma Ivory-Ganja and Texas-Ex Maren Taylor qualified fifth for Saturday's three-meter synchro finals with 260.70 points. Ivory-Ganja took seventh in the individual three-meter event at the NCAA Championships last March while Taylor finished as the runner-up.
UT junior Meghan Houston joined North Carolina diver Michole Timm to qualify ninth for Saturday's finals with 243.60 points.
Bowersox teamed with former Miami diver Zachary Nees to qualify first for Sunday's men's three-meter synchro final with 406.29 points. Four-time U.S. Olympian and former Longhorn Troy Dumais joined his brother, former Stanford diver Dwight Dumais, to qualify sixth for the final with 353.67 points.
