Three Longhorns to appear at IAAF World Junior Championships

Meet is scheduled for July 22-27 in Eugene, Oregon
The Track and Field team will have three representatives at the IAAF Junior Championships, which is scheduled for July 22-27 in Eugene, Oregon.
Freshmen Kendall Baisden, who won the 400 meters at last week's USA Junior Championships, and Carlton Anumnu will participate for the U.S. team, while Ty Sevin will serve as an assistant men's coach for the Americans.
Basiden will be making her second-straight appearance at the event. She ran a leg on the winning 4x400-meter relay unit at the 2012 IAAF Junior Championships. Baisden will compete in the 400 and is the pool for the 4x400m relay.
Anumnu is in the pool for the 4x100-meter relay. He competed in both the 100 and 200 meters at last week's USA Junior Championships, which was also held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Anumnu was seventh in the 100m final.
Sevin in his first season with the Longhorns, overseeing the men and women's field events. He helped Ryan Crouser win a pair of NCAA shot put titles this season and guided Kaitlin Petrillose to the NCAA indoor pole vault crown. He has extensive experience coaching at both the national and international levels.
