IRVING, Texas -- The Big 12 Conference revealed its 2015 women's basketball schedule on Wednesday, with the Longhorns opening conference play at home against Kansas on Jan. 3. Dates may be adjusted after the television schedule is released at a later date.
The conference schedule features a double round robin format for the fourth consecutive year, consisting of 18 games with squads playing each other twice. The team(s) that finishes with the best winning percentage in league games will be crowned the Big 12 regular season champion.
Last season, Texas finished tied for third in the Big 12 with an 11-7 league record -- UT's most wins in conference play since the 2004-05 season (13-3).
Dallas will host the 2015 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship from March 6-9 at the American Airlines Center. This marks the second time in three years Dallas will host the tournament.
