AUSTIN, Texas – University of Texas head women's tennis coach Danielle Lund McNamara announced Thursday the hiring of former UCLA All-American Courtney Dolehide as an assistant coach for the Longhorns. Dolehide replaces Darija Klaic, who resigned as assistant coach last month.
"I'm very excited about Courtney joining our program, and I really look forward to working with her," McNamara said. "Courtney's playing experience from her time at UCLA combined with her enthusiasm and passion for the game will really add tremendous value to our team. Also, I am very thankful to Darija Klaic for her commitment to the program through the fall semester and her assistance during this transition."
Dolehide comes to Austin from Utah State University, where she served as a volunteer assistant women's tennis coach and head of men's and women's tennis operations last fall for the Aggies.
As a player, Dolehide helped UCLA win the 2014 NCAA team title and led the Bruins to the NCAA semifinals or better in each of her four seasons. The Hinsdale, Illinois, native earned ITA All-America honors in doubles during the 2012 season. An accomplished junior tennis standout, Dolehide competed in the main doubles draw at the 2009 U.S. Open prior to her enrollment at UCLA.
A member of the Pac-12 Conference All-Academic Team and the UCLA National Academic Honor Society, Dolehide earned her bachelor's degree in political science last spring.
