• Tuesday's contest marks the 10th meeting between Texas and West Virginia.
• UT holds a 6-3 lead in the all-time series, which dates back to an 80-79 WVU win in Portland, Oregon (Far West Classic) on Dec. 28, 1973.
• The Horns have won the last four contests against WVU entering Tuesday's game, all by double-digit margins. UT has posted a +18.0 scoring margin (77.8-59.8) in the last four games.
• Texas posted a three-game season sweep against the Mountaineers last year (80-69 in Morgantown, 88-71 in Austin, 66-49 in Kansas City at the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship quarterfinals). The Horns also registered a 77-50 win against No. 16/15 West Virginia in Austin earlier this year (Jan. 17).
• UT's most memorable win in the series came in a 74-71 victory, courtesy of a Kenton Paulino three-pointer at the buzzer in the 2006 NCAA "Sweet 16" in Atlanta (Georgia Dome).

• BARNES GOES FOR 400TH WIN AT TEXAS: Head Coach Rick Barnes enters Tuesday's game with an overall record of 399-176 (.694) in 17 seasons at Texas. With a win on Tuesday, Barnes would become just the ninth active NCAA Division I men's basketball coach to reach the 400-win milestone at his current school.
• RECENT SUCCESS vs. WVU: UT enters Tuesday's game sporting a four-game win streak against West Virginia The Horns have won all four contests by double-digit margins and posted a +18.0 scoring margin (77.8-59.8) in the stretch.
• YANCY ON A ROLL: Sophomore guard Kendal Yancy has averaged 21.5 ppg and 5.5 rpg in 33.5 mpg over the last two contests while hitting 15-of-31 (.484) field goals, including 8-of-17 (.471) from three-point range. Yancy set career highs in points (29), FG made (9-of-17), 3FG made (6-of-9) and FT made (5-of-6) in 32 minutes during Saturday's loss to No. 14/14 Iowa State.
