Football season ticket members to participate in seat selection

Interactive online technology allows patrons to see and select stadium seats.

For the first time, Texas Football season ticket members have the opportunity to select their seat locations during an exclusive "ticket relocation and upgrade experience" (TRUE). With new, interactive technology, season ticket members now can see available seat locations and make the decision to move or upgrade seat locations and choose their parking.
"With the new seat selection process, we saw an opportunity to really improve the fan experience," said Steve Patterson, Texas Men's Athletics Director. "The Ticket Relocation and Upgrade Experience (TRUE) gives all our fans a simple way to select where they would like to sit, based on any available seat in the stadium and their Loyalty Points. This makes the entire process more user friendly, open and transparent."
As part of TRUE, season ticket members view upgrade opportunities online by logging into a virtual Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Both renewing season ticket members and new season ticket members who purchased by April 10 have access to the system to upgrade or choose their new seats.
On May 11, emails will be delivered with the date, time and other pertinent log-in information to add seats, move or upgrade current seat locations. Parking selection can also be made at that time. Appointment times are determined by Loyalty Point totals as of April 10. Longhorn Foundation donors who are also football season ticket members have priority access to purchase parking in a preferred area.
Beginning May 19, any season ticket member can log in prior to their selection time to get familiar with the system; however, seat or parking selections cannot be made until the assigned date and time.
Season ticket members for Men's Basketball and Baseball will also take part in TRUE at a later time. Women's Basketball and Softball season ticket members are invited to a ticket relocation and upgrade event (TRUE) for seat selection and upgrades. Volleyball season ticket members enjoyed the first-ever TRUE event at Gregory Gym on April 3.
"We are so fortunate at Texas that we have loyal and longstanding fan followings. Austin is one of the most tech-savvy communities in America, and our fans deserve to be able to engage and visualize an in-venue experience in this way," said Chris Plonsky, Women's Athletics Director.
"Most importantly, our fans deserve efficiency of time and open communication so that we can better serve them. We are investing in our fans in every sport."
