For 32 years, DeLoss Dodds faithfully and selflessly served The University of Texas, building the Texas Longhorns and intercollegiate athletics into a brand of national and international prominence.
Dodds managed major capital improvements, provided optimal resources for student-athletes and generated unprecedented success in competition and in academics.
The achievements and accolades go on and on, touching every student-athlete and every coach in every sport. But there is just one common denominator —Dodds, the charming man from Kansas whose vision and leadership changed the face of Texas Athletics.
And now we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you, DeLoss. Thank you for leaving it better than you found it, for thinking of others before yourself and for building teams and leaders.
