AUSTIN, Texas — Former Tulane University forward Dylan Osetkowski (San Diego, Calif.) will transfer to The University of Texas, head coach Shaka Smart announced Thursday evening. Osetkowski has signed an Athletic Scholarship Agreement (ASA) and is set to enroll in classes at Texas beginning this summer.
The addition of Osetkowski gives the Longhorns a four-man recruiting class at this time. Osetkowski will join incoming freshman center James Banks and freshmen guards Andrew Jones and Jacob Young.
"Dylan will be a terrific addition to our program," Smart said. "He brings an outstanding inside-outside skill set, possesses a high basketball IQ and will fit very well with the culture of our program."
Per NCAA transfer rules, Osetkowski will be permitted to practice and work out with the Longhorns when he begins taking classes at UT. However, he will not be able to participate in games or travel with the team during the upcoming 2016-17 season.
