2016 Men's Olympic Basketball Competition Schedule
RIO — Former University of Texas standout Kevin Durant posted 12 points to help Team USA to a 94-91 win against Serbia (1-3) in preliminary round play at the 2016 Olympics on Friday evening. Durant converted 2-of-4 field goals and 7-of-8 free throws while adding 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in a team-high 30 minutes.
The Americans (4-0) conclude pool play against France at 12:15 p.m. CT on Sunday, Aug. 14. The USA-France contest will be televised live on NBC Sports Network. Durant has reached double figures in scoring in each of the first four games at the Rio Olympics.
The top four teams from each Olympic preliminary round group will advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday, Aug. 17. The winners of those contests will play in the semifinals on Friday, Aug. 19. The gold and bronze medal games will be held on Sunday, Aug. 21.
