Longhorns have three entries in the second major of the season.
WHAT: Texas wraps up its fall tournament season this week at the inaugural ITA National Fall Championships. The five-day event is the second of three majors on the college tennis calendar and replaces the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships as the final event of the fall.
Texas sophomores Bianca Turati and Petra Granic earned automatic bids into the 64-player singles draw by reaching the singles final at the ITA Texas Regional Championship earlier this month. Senior Dani Wagland and freshman Marta Perez-Mur received an at-large selection into the 32-team doubles draw after reaching the doubles final together at the ITA Texas Regional Championship.

Earlier this month, sophomore Bianca Turati held off teammate Petra Granic and delivered UT its second singles title in the last three years at the ITA Texas Regional Championship. Turati and Granic received singles berths to the ITA National Fall Championship at Indian Wells by way of reaching the singles final at the regional.
On Oct. 25, Texas received an additional berth to Indian Wells. Senior Dani Wagland and freshman Marta Perez-Mur were awarded a berth to compete in doubles after falling just two points shy of winning the doubles title at the regional.
Texas started off the fall at the Debbie Southern Fall Classic hosted by Furman, where senior Dani Wagland and freshman Marta Perez-Mur won their respective singles draws. Wagland won three matches to claim flight six while Perez-Mur followed suit in flight four. Sophomore Petra Granic and freshman Bojana Markovic also reached the finals of their singles flights.
Sophomore Bianca Turati reached the singles final at the USTA Pro Circuit event in Hilton Head, South Carolina after advancing to the round of 16 the week before in Charleston. Her twin sister Anna Turati reached the semifinals at Hilton Head.
Texas returns seven student-athletes from the 2016-17 squad that reached the round of 32 (second round) at the NCAA Championships and the semifinals at the Big 12 Championships.
