Men's Diving posts three top-seven finishes at USA Diving Winter Nationals

Sophomore Grayson Campbell and freshman Jordan Windle land top-three finishes in Wednesday’s one-meter final.
GREENSBORO, N.C. – Texas accounted for three top-seven finishes, including a pair of top-three showings, in the men's one-meter finals Wednesday at the 2017 USA Diving Winter National Championships.
Sophomores Grayson Campbell and Jacob Cornish and freshman Jordan Windle advanced into the eight-man final from the morning preliminary round. Campbell notched the top Longhorns finish of the day with his second-place total of 688.20 points through the preliminary and final rounds of competition. Campbell was an All-American on three-meter last season for the Longhorns.
Windle, who represented Team USA last summer at the FINA World Championships, took third in Wednesday's final with 661.90 points. Cornish rounded out the Texas finalists with a seventh-place total of 574.50 points.
Texas signee Andrew Gawin-Parigini competed in the preliminary round and placed 14th overall with 275.15 points. UT sophomore Reed Merritt placed 20th with 227.85 points.
Competition continues Thursday for the Texas men in the three-meter preliminary and semifinal rounds.
