Women's Tennis sends four to singles finals at Furman

Four Longhorns will compete in their respective singles finals Sunday at the Debbie Southern Fall Invitational.
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Four Longhorns reached the finals of their respective singles draws Saturday on day two at the Debbie Southern Fall Classic hosted by Furman University.
"This was a very successful day," said third-year Texas head coach Howard Joffe. "Petra, Bojana, Dani and Marta all collected wins over excellent opposition. Hopefully we can finish strong in this tournament tomorrow."
Sophomore Petra Granic posted her second win in as many days to reach the finals in singles flight one. The 39th-ranked Granic held off Wake Forest's 46th-ranked Emma Davis, 7-5, 6-4.
Freshman Bojana Markovic of Serbia earned a spot in the singles flight two final with her 2-6, 6-1, 6-1 win over Wake Forest's Eliza Omirou. Her classmate Marta Perez-Mur of Spain reached the singles final in flight four by way of her 7-5, 6-4 win over Alexa Bortles of Ole Miss.
Senior Dani Wagland notched a 6-1, 6-2 win over Vanderbilt's Emily Smith to reach the singles final in flight four.
