LHN to feature nine regular-season Men’s Basketball games in 2018-19

ESPN’s 24-hour network devoted to UT will air three Big 12 Conference contests this year.
AUSTIN, Texas - Longhorn Network, ESPN's 24-hour network devoted to The University of Texas, will air nine men's games during the 2018-19 basketball season, including a handful of Big 12 matchups.
The television slate starts with Texas GameDay at 6 p.m. CT on October 17, leading into Texas Tip-Off Presented by Coors Light at Gregory Gym at 6:30 p.m. Manning the Texas GameDay desk and calling the Texas Tip-Off action are LHN anchor/host Lowell Galindo and analyst Lance Blanks.
The regular season opener against Eastern Illinois is live from the Frank Erwin Center on November 6, serving as one of four Longhorn home games carried on Longhorn Network in November. LHN is home to three Big 12 battles for UT this season, including Texas Tech on January 12, Oklahoma on January 19 and the Longhorns' midweek matchup with Baylor on February 6. All Texas men's basketball games on LHN are presented by Coors Light.
Texas returns four starters from a year ago, having made the NCAA Tournament for two of the past three seasons under head coach Shaka Smart. Last year's NCAA berth was the 34th overall appearance by the Longhorns and 18th in the past two decades.
Details regarding Longhorn Network studio programming and talent will be announced in the coming weeks.
