Charli Collier one of three finalists for Gatorade National Player of the Year

Collier, a 6-foot-5 forward/center from Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu, Texas, averaged 30.9 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game.
Texas women's basketball signee Charli Collier is one of three finalists nationally for the Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year honor, it was announced.
The announcement came after Collier on Monday was named the Texas 2017-18 Gatorade State Girls Basketball Player of the Year.
The award recognizes not only outstanding athletic excellence, but also high standards of academic achievement and exemplary character demonstrated on and off the field.
Collier, a 6-foot-5 forward/center from Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu, Texas, averaged 30.9 points per game, 11.5 rebounds per game, 2.3 steals per game, 2.2 blocks per game and 2.0 assists per game in leading her team to a 38-3 record and an appearance in the Class 5A, Region 3 tournament semifinals.
Collier is a McDonald's All-American who also has been selected to participate in the Jordan Brand Classic. She is a finalist for the Naismith Trophy High School Player of the Year Award. Collier is the nation's top-ranked player according to Prospects Nation and the Blue Star Report, and the No. 2 player by espnW Hoop Gurlz.
Collier, who was a member of the USA Basketball U-17 Women's National Team that won a bronze medal at the 2016 World Championships, concluded her high school basketball career with 3,539 points and 1,406 rebounds.
Collier, along with Joanne Allen-Taylor, Sedona Prince, and Audrey Warren, comprises the nation's No. 3 recruiting class according to ESPN.com.
