Field announced for 18th annual Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational

Men's Basketball to join Michigan State, North Carolina and UCLA at Orleans Arena on November 22-23
LAS VEGAS — The tournament field for the 18th annual Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational was announced on Thursday. This year's event will be held November 22-23, 2018 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, marking the 13th year the invitational has been played at Orleans.
The four-team tourney field includes Michigan State University, the University of North Carolina, The University of Texas and UCLA. At least one of the four teams have appeared in four of the last five NCAA Final Fours and 15 of the last 20.
Tickets for the final rounds in Las Vegas are currently available at the Orleans Arena box office via the internet at www.orleansarena.com. Tourney pairings and game times will be announced at a later date.
FOX Broadcast network and FS1 will present coverage of the four 2018 Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational games played at Orleans Arena, televising two opening-round games on Thursday, November 22, and the consolation and championship games on Friday, November 23. FOX Sports runs all aspects of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational, Las Vegas Holiday Invitational and Las Vegas Classic, including ticket sales, sponsorships and television production.
Each team will play four games in the Invitational, the first two at on-campus sites and the final two rounds at Orleans Arena on November 22-23. Hosting more than 200 events each year, Orleans Arena is located just west of the Las Vegas strip and was recently named the No. 1 mid-size arena in the USA by Venues Today magazine.
Texas will make it first appearance in the tournament and first trip to Las Vegas since the 2001-02 season. The Longhorns defeated UNLV 87-78 at the Thomas and Mack Center on December 22, 2001.
UT is the only team in the Invitational to have a winning record against North Carolina. Texas, which has won seven of the last eight meetings between the two schools, owns a 7-3 advantage in the all-time series against UNC. Texas is 3-3 against UCLA and 4-5 against Michigan State.
