Pairings and game times set for Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational

Men's Basketball will face North Carolina in semifinals on Thanksgiving Day at 6:30 p.m. Central on FS1.
LAS VEGAS — The pairings and game times for the Championship Rounds of the 18th annual Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational were announced Thursday morning by tournament organizers.
Texas will face North Carolina in the semifinals on Thursday, Nov. 22 (Thanksgiving Day). Tip time is set for 6:30 p.m. Central (4:30 p.m. local) at Orleans Arena, and the game will be televised nationally by FS1. Michigan State will face UCLA in the second semifinal on Nov. 22 at approximately 9 p.m. Central (7 p.m. local).
The consolation game between Thursday's two losing teams is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 23 at 3 p.m. Central (1 p.m. local) and will be televised nationally by FOX. The championship game between Thursday's two winning teams is slated for Friday, Nov. 23 at approximately 5:30 pm. Central (3:30 p.m. local) and will be televised nationally by FOX.
Tickets for the final rounds in Las Vegas are currently available at the Orleans Arena box office via the internet at www.orleansarena.com.
Texas will make it first appearance in the tournament and first trip to Las Vegas since the 2001-02 season. The Longhorns defeated UNLV 87-78 at the Thomas and Mack Center on Dec. 22, 2001.
UT is the only team in the Invitational to have a winning record against North Carolina. Texas, which has won seven of the last eight meetings between the two schools, owns a 7-3 advantage in the all-time series against UNC. Texas is 3-3 against UCLA and 4-5 against Michigan State.
