UT senior drops match to WTA No. 431 Panna Udvardy of Hungary.
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. — University of Texas senior Bianca Turati dropped a 6-3, 6-4 decision to Panna Udvardy (Hungary) on Tuesday in the Round of 32 at the ITF (International Tennis Federation) 25k pro circuit event at the Van Der Meet Shipyard Racquet Club.
Udvardy is No. 431 in the latest WTA (Women's Tennis Association) world singles rankings. Turati is No. 361 in the WTA rankings.
UT senior Anna Turati, who captured the singles title at the ITF 15k event in Norman, Okla., on Sunday, will open play on Wednesday, Oct. 9 in the main draw of the Saint Francis Health System ITA All-American Championships. The ITA All-American Championships, which runs through Sunday, Oct. 13, are being held in Tulsa, Okla.
