- More than 5,500 attendees representing fourth through seventh grade classes at 54 different schools in Austin and surrounding areas will descend upon the Frank Erwin Center Wednesday for the ninth-annual 40 Acres Field Trip. Texas will play host to UTRGV at 11 a.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised by Longhorn Network.
- The Series: Texas and UT Rio Grande Valley [formerly UT-Pan American] meet for the ninth time in the history of the two programs. The Longhorns lead the all-time series 8-0. Last season, Texas defeated the Vaqueros 81-66 in Edinburg. The Longhorns are 11-0 all-time against teams in the current alignment of the Western Athletic Conference.
- 40 Acres Field Trip: Texas Athletics and the Frank Erwin Center open their doors to 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th graders in Central Texas for exposure to college athletics and a unique experience with higher education. Texas is 8-0 all-time in the 40 Acres Field Trip. In last season's game, the Longhorns defeated UTSA, 98-54, on Nov. 28, 2018.
- Double-Double Duo: Texas post players Charli Collier and Joyner Holmes have recorded double-doubles in each of their team's first three games this season. Collier leads Texas in both scoring and rebounding with 17.0 ppg and 11.3 rpg, while Holmes follows in both categories with 16.0 ppg and 10.3 rpg. Collier now has three career double-doubles and Holmes has 16.
- On The Boards: Success on the boards has been a staple of Texas teams for many years. In fact the Longhorns have tied or won the rebounding battle in 120 of their last 141 games overall, including two of three games this season. The Longhorns hold a +10.7 rebounding margin.
- Among the Nation's Best: Texas has 1,089 all-time victories in its program history and ranks sixth all-time against NCAA Division I teams. The Longhorns have also won 73.1 percent of their games all-time.
