Greetings Longhorn Nation,
It was a fun and busy week last week on the Forty Acres as we hosted the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, the 92nd running of the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, a Men's Basketball NIT Quarterfinals game, a Baseball series and two Big 12 Men's Tennis matches. It was fun seeing everyone cheering on our Longhorns at all of our venues.
Men's Swimming and Diving came up a little short of extending its four-year run of National Championships, but we're all very proud of how hard they competed and all of the success they had in a runner-up finish. It's truly amazing when you think about it: Eddie Reese has been coaching at Texas for 41 years and that was the 26th time he led us to either a first or second place finish at the NCAA meet. He's been in the top three 33 times and has 40 straight top 10 finishes! This is why he is one of the greatest coaches of all time, in any sport. Congrats to our three individual National Champions (Townley Haas, 500 free; John Shebat, 200 back; Jordan Windle, platform diving) and the first-place 400 and 800 free relays, as well as our 15 student-athletes who earned All-American honors.
The Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays were once again a spectacle with nearly 900 teams and more than 7,000 athletes competing at Mike A. Myers Stadium. Our Longhorns won nine events overall, including both squads sweeping the distance medley relay titles and the men's team capturing the sprint medley relay crown, as well.
The week started with a Men's Basketball victory over Colorado in the NIT Quarterfinals. Baseball showed a lot of heart in competing to the very end in a three-game home sweep over Xavier. Men's Tennis registered a pair of Big 12 wins at the Texas Tennis Center, including an exciting 4-3 victory over No. 6 Baylor on Senior Day for six tremendous student-athletes; and Women's Tennis swept two conference road matches at No. 30 Oklahoma and No. 9 Oklahoma State. It was another great week to be a Longhorn!
Another big week of Texas sports starts tonight when Baseball hosts Texas A&M at UFCU Disch-Falk Field, and Men's Basketball is in the Big Apple to face TCU at Madison Square Garden for a spot in the NIT Championship. Hoops tips off at 8:30 p.m. on ESPN, and the Baseball game has been sold out for weeks but you can catch that game at 6:30 p.m. on FS1.
Thanks, as always, for your support and commitment to helping us put the "T" back in Texas.

40 Hours for the Forty Acres
Get ready for the sixth annual 40 Hours for the Forty Acres starting tomorrow! On April 3-4, Longhorn Nation unites for a 40-hour, university-wide day of giving. All athletics donations raised during this year's 40 Hours for the Forty Acres go toward student-athlete mental health services. We look forward to your support as we continue to be at the forefront for prevention and education to ensure our student-athletes have access to effective mental health management tools, while destigmatizing the conversation and spreading awareness. Your participation is critical to our success! We have a generous donor that is matching the first $10,000 of gifts to our initiative, which helps provide 1:1 counseling, educational materials, addiction assistance and mental health screening. Learn more and donate.
