The Longhorns compete in their first meet of the decade on Friday in Houston.
AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Track and Field teams, both ranked No. 4 in the USTFCCCA Preseason Rankings, compete in their first meet of the new decade this Friday when they take part in the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational at Yeoman Fieldhouse in Houston, Texas.
The Longhorns previously competed in Houston back on Dec. 7 at the FasTrak Collegiate Opener, winning eight individual events and one relay, as well as setting a number of personal-best marks.
Texas' 2019-20 Indoor Track and Field roster features 10 returning indoor All-Americans from a season ago, including seven on the men's side. The Longhorns also welcome back three competitors – Sophia Falco, Micaiah Harris and Georgia Wahl – who earned All-America honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last season.
Friday's meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. CT with the weight throw and high jump competitions. Running events will begin at noon and conclude with the men's and women's 4x400-meter relays at approximately 4:35 p.m. CT.
Admission this weekend is $8 for adults, $5 for children (ages 3-17) and children under two years old get in for free.
