AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Track and Field program will host a quartet of meets during the 2020 outdoor season, head coach Edrick Floréal announced Wednesday. UT will host the 93rd Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays (March 25-28), a dual meet against Texas A&M (April 4), the Texas Invitational (May 1-2) and the NCAA Outdoor Championships (June 10-13) at Mike A. Myers Stadium this spring.
The 2020 Outdoor Track and Field schedule begins on the road, as the Longhorns travel to Tampa, Fla., to compete in the Bulls Invitational on March 20-21. The Texas Relays and dual vs. Texas A&M cover the two weekends following the Bulls Invitational, and then the Horns will make the trip to San Antonio, Texas, to compete in the Roadrunner Invitational on April 10-11.
Texas will split its squad for the first time this spring during mid-April, competing in a trio of meets across the Lone Star State and California. The first group of Longhorns will take part in the Bryan Clay Invitational (April 15-17) in Asuza, Calif., the second at the Mt. Sac Relays (April 16-18) in Walnut, Calif., and the last at the Michael Johnson Invitational (April 17-18) in Waco, Texas.
The Horns will close out a three-week road trip the following weekend with a visit to the Bobcat Classic (April 24-25) in San Marcos, Texas.
After a week back in Austin for the Texas Invitational, UT is slated to close out its regular season by competing in the Tom Tellez Invitational (May 8) in Houston, Texas.
Postseason action opens with the Big 12 Championships (May 15-17) in Manhattan, Kan., and the Horns will return to the Sunflower State the following weekend for the NCAA West Preliminary in Lawrence, Kan.
The Longhorns' season concludes with the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which will be hosted by The University of Texas for the second-straight year. It will be the eighth time overall that UT has hosted the NCAA Outdoor Championships and the third time at Mike A. Myers Stadium (2004, 2019). For more information, click here.
