AUSTIN, Texas — Redshirt sophomore guard Andrew Jones recorded a career-high 22 points, and sophomore guard Courtney Ramey added 21 points to pace The University of Texas Men's Basketball team (17-11, 7-8 Big 12) to a 67-57 victory against No. 20/19 West Virginia (19-9, 7-8 Big 12) on Monday night at the Frank Erwin Center. The win was the third-consecutive Big 12 victory for the Longhorns, all by double-digit margins, marking the first time UT has accomplished that feat since the 2010-11 season.
Jones converted 7-of-13 field goals, including 5-of-9 from three-point range, and went 3-of-4 from the free throw line while adding 3 assists, 3 boards and 2 steals in a career-best 39 minutes. He had 16 of his 22 points in the first half.
Ramey topped the 20-point mark for the second-straight game (after his career-best 26-point effort at K-State on Saturday) and hit 9-of-14 field goals, including a 3-of-5 mark from beyond the arc, while adding 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 38 minutes Junior guard Matt Coleman III also reached double figures in scoring with 13 points (8-9 FT), and redshirt freshman Brock Cunningham tallied a career-best 5 rebounds.
Texas used an early 13-0 run to build a 17-6 advantage after an Andrew Jones three at the 10:43 mark. The Longhorns hit 61.9% (13-21) from the floor, including a 6-of-11 (.545) mark from three-point range, while building a 34-28 cushion at the break. The Mountaineers closed to within 3 points (36-33) following a Jermaine Haley layup with 17:26 remaining, but the Longhorns did not let the margin dip below 7 points for the final 12:15 of the contest.

- Texas posted its third-consecutive Big 12 Conference win. This marked the first time UT has won three-consecutive league games since Jan. 26-Feb. 6, 2016 (Shaka Smart's first season at Texas). That year, the Longhorns won 71-54 at home vs. TCU (Jan. 26), 67-59 at No. 15/13 Baylor (Feb. 1) and 69-59 at home vs. Texas Tech (Feb. 6).
- Each of UT's last three wins have been by double-digit margins (70-56 vs. TCU on Feb. 19, 70-59 at K-State on Feb. 22, 67-57 vs. No. 20/19 West Virginia tonight). It's the first time Texas has accomplished the feat since it won nine-consecutive Big 12 contests by double-digit margins in the 2010-11 season (Jan. 11-Feb. 9, 2011).
- The Longhorns improved to 12-9 in the all-time series against West Virginia.
