Four former Longhorns set for 2020 NBA Playoffs

ORLANDO, Fla. — A total of four former University of Texas men's basketball players will be involved in the upcoming 2020 NBA Playoffs. Jarrett Allen (Brooklyn Nets), D.J. Augustin (Orlando Magic), P.J. Tucker (Houston Rockets) and Myles Turner (Indiana Pacers) are all currently on their team's postseason rosters.

The No. 22 pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, Allen is in his third season with the Brooklyn Nets. In 70 games played during the regular season, he averaged 11.1 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 26.5 minutes per game while converting 64.9-percent from the floor. Brooklyn claimed the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference and opens its First Round series against No. 2 seed Toronto on Monday, Aug. 17 (3 p.m. Central, ESPN).

Augustin is in his fourth season with the Orlando Magic and 12th year overall in the NBA. In 57 games played during the regular season, he averaged 10.5 points and 4.6 assists in 24.9 minutes per game while converting 89.0-percent from the free throw line. Orlando earned the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and opens its First Round series against No. 1 seed Milwaukee on Tuesday, Aug. 18 (12:30 p.m. Central, TNT).

Tucker is his ninth year overall in the NBA and his third season with the Houston Rockets. In 71 games played during the regular season, he averaged 6.9 points and 6.7 rebounds in 34.3 minutes per game. Houston claimed the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference and opens its First Round series against No. 5 seed Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Aug. 18 (5:30 p.m. Central, TNT).

Turner is his fifth season in the league, all with the Pacers. In 62 games played during the regular season, he averaged 12.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks in 29.4 minutes per game. Indiana earned the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference and opens its First Round series against No. 5 seed Miami on Tuesday, Aug. 18 (3 p.m. Central, TNT).
