The margin stayed within five points for the remainder of the second half. After Ramey converted a pair of free throws at the 1:19 mark of the first overtime to tie the game at 65-65, both teams were held scoreless and the contest went into double overtime.
Oklahoma State's Cade Cunningham, who was held to 5-of-22 field goal shooting and six turnovers on the afternoon, scored five of his 19 points in the second overtime to help the Cowboys pull away for the 75-67 victory. Texas went a combined 0-of-12 from the floor in the two overtime periods.
