Texas claims No. 3 seed and will face Texas Tech in Thursday’s quarterfinals at 8:30 p.m. Central in Kansas City.
IRVING, Texas — The pairings for the 2021 Phillips 66 Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship have been set, conference officials announced Sunday evening. Texas (17-7, 11-6 Big 12) is the No. 3 seed in the tournament and will open play in a quarterfinal-round contest against No. 6 seed Texas Tech (17-9, 9-8 Big 12) on Thursday, March 11 at 8:30 p.m. Central. The game will be televised nationally by either ESPN or ESPN2.
Should Texas win its quarterfinal game, the Longhorns would advance to play in the semifinal round on Friday, March 12 at 8:30 p.m. Central on ESPN or ESPN2. The championship game is slated for Saturday, March 13 at 5 p.m. Central on ESPN.
All tournament games will be played at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. All Texas games also will be aired over the radio on the Longhorn IMG Radio Network (check www.TexasSports.com for listing of affiliates).
