Rowing’s Temming named to Dutch U23 National Team for World Rowing Championships

Susanna Temming is one of three Longhorns slated to compete in the World Rowing Under 23 Championships.
AUSTIN, Texas – The NCAA Champion University of Texas Rowing team's Susanna Temming has been selected to represent The Netherlands at the 2021 World Rowing Under 23 Championships in Racice, Czech Republic, the Royal Dutch Rowing Federation announced this week.
Temming will compete in the women's eight after previously competing with the Dutch Junior National Team at three Junior World Championships (2016-18), winning a bronze in the junior women's quadruple skulls in 2018. She won bronze in the women's four in the 2020 European Rowing U23 Championships.
The 2021 World Rowing Under 23 Championships is set to take place July 7-11. The regatta is the premier event for rowers under the age of 23 and offers a total of 22 events.
The two-time Big 12 Conference Champion rowed at two-seat for the Longhorns' First Varsity Eight at the NCAA Championships, helping secure Texas first-ever NCAA Championship with a victory in the grand final. A native of Utrecht, The Netherlands, Temming rowed at three-seat in the Longhorns' season-opening victory at Michigan before moving to two-seat for the remainder of the I Eights' undefeated campaign.
Longhorn teammates Francesca Raggi and Anna Jensen were selected to the U.S. U23 National Team this week and will also compete in the World Rowing Under 23 Championships.
