AUSTIN, Texas — The University of Texas Men's Basketball team will host UTRGV in historic Gregory Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 26 as part of the Leon Black Classic. This year's "Throwback Game" will be a season ticket holder and UT student event.
This year's contest will feature a seating capacity of 3,500 in Gregory Gym. UT Athletics will sell 3,000 tickets to season ticket holders and will hold the remainder for UT students. Courtside Club members, Establishment Club members and Moody Center suite holders will have first priority to purchase reserved seats. Details on purchasing and ticket limits will be available at a later date.
Tickets will be $10 per person and will go on sale on Monday Oct. 17. Eligible groups will be contacted at that time.
This will mark the second-straight season that the Longhorns will play a regular-season contest in Gregory Gym. Last year, UT played its first regular-season game in Gregory since the 1976-77 season and claimed a 73-57 victory over Sam Houston.
Gregory Gym, located in the heart of the UT campus, served as the home of Texas Basketball from the 1930-31 season through the 1976-77 season. The Longhorns earned a 34-33 victory against North Texas on Dec. 5, 1930 in the first men's basketball contest played inside Gregory Gym. Including last year's win over Sam Houston, UT has compiled an overall record of 384-160 (.706) in Gregory. Gregory Gym still serves as the home court for Texas Volleyball.
